The Souling song

The class will be divided into four groups.
Each group gets a part of the text that they have to translate into Danish. Write down you translation.
Afterwards we will exchange translations so everyone knows the entire translation.
Group 1 = Chorus
Group 2 = Verse 1
Group 3 = Verse 2
Group 4 = Verse 3
Talk to your partner about the following questions.
Write down your answers.
- What did the poor people in the poem ask for? (scan the text for food and drink words)
- Who is "the Master" and "the Mistress"? (verse 1)
